Lucy Hale Talks Taylor Swift for Flare July 2014

She’s been on a quest to break into country music, and Lucy Hale certainly looks the part on the cover of Flare magazine’s July 2014 edition.
The “Pretty Little Liars” babe acknowledges the uphill climb ahead of her, though she’s already had too much fun to worry about blowing it.
Lucy explains, “It’s very scary being open, being vulnerable, putting yourself out there at the risk of failing. The scariest part is working so, so hard for something and then it not paying off. But that almost doesn’t even matter to me anymore. Making the album was the best experience of my life.”
When asked if she’s aiming to follow in Taylor Swift’s vein, Hale notes, “I don’t really keep in touch with many of my ex-boyfriends, but there are some digs in the album for sure. Taylor made country quote-unquote ‘cool.’ And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk sh*t about your ex-boyfriend. That’s so fun! Everyone wants to do that.”
